Francesco Barasciutti nasce a Venezia nel 1969. Figlio d'arte e fotografo professionista dal 1987, si dedica al ritratto, allo still-life e al reportage.Tra le sue mostre, la partecipazione alla 46. Biennale di Venezia del 1995 ed alla 54. Biennale di Venezia del 2011.
Nel 1998 vince il premio Kodak European Portrait Gold Award come migliore fotografo ritrattista d'Italia del 1997. Collabora con riviste internazionali, eseguendo lavori di reportage e di ritratto. Ha insegnato Ritratto Fotografico in un workshop presso la "Fachhochschule" di Muenster (Germania) nel 1994 e ha insegnato Fotografia presso la "Scuola Internazionale di Grafica" di Venezia (a. a. 2001-2002). Sue fotografie sono presenti in collezioni pubbliche e private, in Italia e all'estero; nell'aprile 2003 la National Portrait Gallery di Londra ha acquisito due sue opere. Nel 2009 Aldo Andreolo gli dedica un saggio pubblicato sulla rivista"NYCVE - Italian American Magaz ine" (Anno VII, N.3, Giugno-Agosto 2009). Nel 2011 "l'illustre" (Anno 63, N.11, Dicembre 2011) pubblica una sua intervista. Francesco Barasciutti was born in Venice in 1969, the son of a skilful photographer. A professional photographer himself since 1987, he has devoted himself to the portrait, still-life and reportage. Among his exhibitions, the participation at the 46. Biennale di Venezia in 1995 and at the 54. Biennale di Venezia in 2011. His reportage and portraits are published by magazines throughout the world. In 1998 he won the Kodak European Portrait Gold Award Prize as the best portrait Italian Photographer for the 1997. He taught Portrait Photography in a workshop at the "Fachhochschule" of Muenster (Germany) in 1994 and he taught Photography at the "Scuola Internazionale di Grafica" of Venice in the academic year 2001-2002. Barasciutti's photographs are in public and private collections, both in Italy and abroad; on April 2003 the National Portrait Gallery of London acquired two of his works. On 2009 Aldo Andreolo dedicates to him an essay published on the magazine "NYCVE - Italian American Magazine" (Anno VII, N.3, June-August 2009).
